What does the amount of denim fabric represent? The thickness unit of denim fabric is amperes, also known as ounces, which is a type of weight unit. When used on denim fabric, it refers to the number of ounces per square yard of weight, which indicates the degree of tightness of the cotton thread in jeans. According to different thicknesses, commonly used fabrics include 4.5A, 6A, 8A, 10A, 11A, 12A, 13.5A, 14.5A, etc. The smaller the value, the thinner the fabric, and so on. 14.5A fabric belongs to the thick category. Generally, when in use, thinner fabrics such as 4.5A are often used as summer clothing fabrics such as vests and sleeveless shirts; A thick 14.5 ampere fabric used as a winter cotton jacket and jacket. What does it mean to wear denim jeans on a regular basis? The amount of denim fabric used is usually around 8-12 amps.
Denim printing process flow:
1. How to print denim fabric with printed fabric
When using handmade denim printing on a tabletop, the optimal number of scraping cycles should be selected based on the specifications of the denim fabric, capillary effect, printing area, discharge slurry, and other conditions to provide the required slurry amount for discharge printing. This is an important guarantee for the quality of discharge printing.
2. Placement
After printing, there is no need to dry, but it needs to be left for a certain period of time. As time goes on, the discharge paste on the surface of the denim printing deeply penetrates into the indigo yarn, and the leaving time is about 10 minutes, depending on the denim tissue specifications, capillary effect, as well as the wettability and permeability of the discharge paste.
3. Pressing and ironing
Pressure ironing treatment is carried out at a temperature of 150-160 ℃ for about 20 seconds. The optimal temperature and time for pressing and ironing treatment should be selected based on the specifications of denim fabric, printing area, pulp amount, composition of discharge and dyeing pulp, environmental humidity, etc., through the practice of pressing and ironing treatment technology.
4. Water washing
After oxidation and discharge, indigo blue is oxidized and decomposed into indigo red, which is a yellow substance that is soluble in sodium carbonate. When washing with water, it needs to be washed with hot alkali (above 80 ℃, Na2co3 9g/l) to effectively remove the dissolution surface of the yellow substance. The remaining yellow substance is washed with sufficient alkaline soap (Na2co3 9g/l, detergent 4g/l), and finally washed with water to ensure a clean whiteness.
